      Responsibilities:

      • Supported Applied Research and Measurement Team in order to investigate in-cylinder processes of large low-speed two-stroke engines, especially focusing on combustion/emission formation and tribology & lubrication technologies by means of conventional and advanced measurement techniques:
      • Preparation of the experiments, e.g. with (laser) optical diagnostics
      • Perform measurements and analysis data
      • Reporting and presentation of results
      • Support maintenance and further development of experiments and test facilities
      • Further development of evaluation tools

      Requirements:

      • Completed BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
      • Knowledge in thermodynamics and internal combustion engine focus of education preferred
      • Familiar with data analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, Excel, Python) is advantageous
      • Willingness to support practical/mechanical work
      • Fluent in English, German is a plus
      • Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
      • Good interpersonal and communication skills and problem-solving effectiveness
